Building on a legacy of 175 years, we are long-term owners with a Strategic Core built around industrial companies in the Forest & Fiber and the Environmental Technology sectors. Our mission is to create a better world for future generations through sustainable value creation. We are guided by our fundamental values of Ambition and Responsibility, set by our founders Eva and Antti Ahlström, seven generations ago. Combined with a forward-looking business mindset, these values help us succeed as markets and societies evolve.

We also invest in real estate and forest to de-risk the Ahlström family assets, manage liquidity, and generate stable cash flow. The real estate and forest holdings are managed by our fully owned subsidiary, A. Ahlström Real Estate Ltd. which also runs and develops culturally and historically significant  Ahlström Estate in Noormarkku, Pori.

The current majority and minority ownership includes Ahlström Invest B.V. (including a significant ownership in Ahlstrom Oyj), Munksjö Paper AB, Suominen Corporation, Metsäkonepalvelu Oy, Bast Fibre Technologies Inc, M&J Recycling A/S, Detection Technology Plc, Glaston Corporation, and GPV Group A/S. The total revenue of the companies in Ahlström’s ownership is ~5.5 billion euros and they employ more than 18,200 employees in 30 countries (31 Dec 2024). Our External Fair Value was EUR 980.3 million (31 Dec 2024).
