Investment in Glaston
In June 2017, Ahlström Capital announced the acquisition of approximately 18 per cent of Glaston Corporation, also from Oy G.W. Sohlberg Ab. Ahlström Capital became the largest owner of Glaston, an international pioneer in glass processing technology and a leading supplier of lifecycle solutions in glass processing machines. In 2017, Glaston’s revenue was 110.4 meur.
In 2018 Ahlström Capital’s ownership of the company was 17,5%.
In April 2019, Glaston acquired the Bystronic glass Group, a globally operating high-end machinery, systems and services provider for the processing of flat glass. After this acquisition, the Ahlström Capital’s ownership of Glaston increased from the 17,5% to 26,4%. After this acquisition the net sales of Glaston were 202 meur (pro forma).
Glaston is still a part of Ahlström Capital’s portfolio.
