The management and development of the Ahlström family’s financial and industrial assets were concentrated in Ahlström Capital Oy – including significant share-holdings in the listed companies Ahlstrom and Munksjö.
Ahlstrom Corporation, a high performance fiber-based materials company had a revenue of 1001 meur in 2014. Ahlström Capital owned 10,9% of the company.
Munksjö Oyj, a specialty paper manufacturer had a revenue of 1137 meur in 2014 and the Ahlström Capital’s holding was 11,1%.
Ahlstrom Corporation and Munksjö Oyj merged to Ahlstrom-Munksjö in the second quarter of 2017. In 2018 the revenue of Ahlstrom-Munksjö was 2997 meur. The company is still in Ahlström Capital’s portfolio.
