Investment in Nordkalk
In February 2003, Ahlström Capital acquired a 26,2% interest in Nordkalk Corporation. The company manufactured limestone-based products, which were used by sectors of industry including paper, steel, construction materials and the pulp industry, and also environmental care and agriculture. After the initial investment in Nordkalk in 2003, the holding was later raised to 30.5 percent. In 2003, Nordkalk had a revenue of 260 meur and in 2009, 277 meur.
In 2010, we made a final exit from Nordkalk by selling the remaining 10 percent holding in the company.
