Merger of Ahlstrom and Munksjö
The merger of Ahlstrom and Munksjö took place in the second quarter of 2017, creating a global leader in sustainable and innovative fiber-based solutions. Prior to the merger, Ahlström Capital was the largest shareholder of both companies.
Ahlström Capital also became the largest owner of the new company with a 18,4% shareholding. The combined value of Ahlstrom and Munksjö at the time of the merger was EUR 1.2 billion and at the end of 2017, the company was worth EUR 1.7 billion.
In 2017 the revenue of the company was 2233 meur. In 2018 the revenue had increased to 2997 meur.
